Humidifier Pads

Maintaining stable humidity improves the comfort and health of any indoor environment. Humidifiers add moisture to dry air increasing the heat holding capacity of the air making it feel warmer. Dry air absorbs moisture from our bodies faster, drying out skin and mucous membranes making us uncomfortable and more prone to infection. Too much humidity can lead to mold growth or rot within the structure of a building.

Humidity management devices require regular maintenance to function as intended. The pads used in humidifiers to give a surface for water to evaporate from are coated to prevent mold and bacterial growth on the pad. These coatings have a limited lifetime though and if not replaced, will become a source of contamination. Replace your humidifier pad yearly for best results.
